So as we were struggling to get tickets to see Liverpool play, we decided we would head over to Goodinson Park to watch Everton FC play in Leon Osman's testimonial against FC Porto. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and we were able to catch a lift home with my house mate Danny who had also attended the game.

Jamie's Italian
Heading into town early today on the bus as I lacked anything to do at home. I searched out something to eat and decided on Jamie's Italian. I've always been a fan of Jamie Oliver, having watched him on the food network growing up. I had never been to one of his restaurants so I was excited to try the one in Liverpool. I got a nice little table by myself and looked over the menu. I decided on their famous prawn linguine and I was not disappointed. It was very fresh and tasty. It reminded me a lot of the seafood linguine that I had in Budapest. Brought back a lot of memories of my Topdeck trip as I sat and enjoyed it. It filled me right up which was probably good as I had a look at the dessert menu and I might have to pop in there after work sometime just for a hot chocolate and a cake or something. Very tempting.
Walker Art Gallery
The Walker Art Gallery is my favourite museum in Liverpool. I remember it fondly when I went there with my mother in 2009 so returning to its rooms full of art came with such a happy feeling. The art gallery is lovely with a large number of works as well as a sculpture room. The museum is named after its founding benefactor, Sir Andrew Barclay Walker, a former mayor of Liverpool. The museum is free to enter but they do recommend a donation.
My favourite painting in the museum is the John William Waterhouse's Echo and Narcissus. I do hope I can see more of his paintings in person. It looks like there are a few of them scattered across England.
I fell in love with the above painting 'The Little Foot Page' by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale.
I can't recall who this painting of Henry VIII is by but it always makes me pinch myself when I see things like this up close. I've always been a fan of history when I was growing up and remember reading all about him and his life.
The photos below are of St. John's Gardens which is across from the Walker Art Gallery and a lovely building against the pretty sky.

TGIF!
Work was good today. Super happy I got put on tills for the full four hours. No issues. No paper cuts. A few struggles with bags but besides that nothing. Everything went smoothly. Well it did start out raining in the morning and stayed pretty miserable for most of the morning but I made it to work alright with my umbrella and rain jacket.
After getting off work I was lucky enough to get the lift up to the fifth floor. Changing quickly I headed out of work and found Jamie to start our adventure in Liverpool One. We headed over to where Coke had set up a Share A Coke event and we got in line to wait to get our own free personalized bottle of coke. After getting the bottles, we headed to the roof of the thing and enjoyed a small mini can of coke.
Heading for Odeon, we quickly purchased tickets to Guardians of the Galaxy before going to Maccies for dinner. After our bellies were full we headed back to the Odeon where we watched Guardians of the Galaxy. Not going to give away spoilers but it was awesome and I really enjoyed Chris Pratt in it.
After the film we went to Superdrug where I picked up some nail polish essentials. Nail polish remover, top coat, cotton pads and two new nail polishes. Saying goodbye to Jamie at the bus stop I headed to Lime Street and caught the train home to Mossley Hill.
Now I've finished painting my nails in the new colours I got as well as enjoyed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and an A&W Rootbeer. So good.
Before
After
Verdict on the new nail polish is that its not that great. It was the cheaper one in the store but it went on with a bit of difficulty. Will keep painting my nails now that I've spent the money on all the things for it. At least thats the plan. I am telling myself I won't get a million polishes I will never use.
Jerez!
The time had finally come for us to leave Cadiz. In the past few days Jess and I had enjoyed a candy store that also sold these delicious drinks. In the time that we had been in Cadiz we had managed to fill up a punch card and were able to get one free. The morning of our departure we hustled to the store and ordered our drinks before hurrying back to the waiting taxi to rush to the train station.
Unfortunately we missed our train but the Chicos who had arrived a little earlier than us caught the first train. We waited around for the next one and played a bit of Scrabble to pass the time.
